Good Loan shifts services despite strikes

A recent report from the Israeli "Alma" Institute indicates that Israeli strikes targeting branches of the "Al-Qard Al-Hassan" organization in Lebanon since October 2024 have caused widespread damage to the organization's infrastructure, but have not entirely halted its activities. In response to these strikes, "Al-Qard Al-Hassan" has begun restructuring its operations by reducing the number of declared branches and relying on ambiguous central service centers that operate without signs and are designated as civilian and commercial zones, in an effort to adapt to military pressures and avoid detection. Prior to the strikes, the network operated approximately 31 branches, but during November 2024, it was hit 28 times, leading to the closure of many branches. Between May 2025 and early 2026, some branches resumed operations, but new strikes targeted locations associated with them. Currently, the organization is moving toward decreasing the number of active sites, establishing central service centers in areas such as South Lebanon and the Haret Hreik district in Beirut, with the aim of making it more difficult to surveil and target it, while continuing its operations despite the damage sustained.
