Pension decree awaiting Haider

Minister of Labor Mohammed Haidar chaired a meeting of the National Oversight Committee for the implementation of the pension and social protection system in Lebanon. During the meeting, steps to implement pension laws and enhance social protection levels were discussed. It was agreed to soon announce the opening of applications for the appointment of the Investment Committee, as well as to begin preparations for transferring the compensation system to the retirement pension and to develop a study related to end-of-service benefits, while also continuing to follow up on the implementation of relevant decrees. Haidar also praised the start of the Board of Directors' work at the National Social Security Fund, noting that it reinforces efforts to reform the social security system.
