Mansi Highlights Lebanon's Sovereignty at NAM Conference

Lebanese Defense Minister Michel Ménsi, during his participation in the Non-Aligned Movement Conference in Belgrade, reaffirmed Lebanon's commitment to its sovereignty and its rejection of external interference. He called for increased international pressure on Israel to fulfill its obligations and to support the state's effort to reassert its national decision. He noted that Israeli attacks on Lebanon have resulted in approximately 4,500 deaths and around 12,500 injuries, in addition to the destruction of over 60,000 residential units, villages, and institutions. He emphasized the importance of dialogue, preservation of sovereignty, and living in peace and dignity. Lebanon also reaffirmed its adherence to the principles of the Movement and the necessity of supporting Lebanese institutions and the army, while calling for international cooperation to achieve stability and serve the security of the region.
