Karkhi: Financial Support for Medical Sector

The Director General of the National Social Security Fund in Lebanon, Karky, issued three new decisions concerning the disbursement of financial advances to hospitals and doctors, totaling approximately 154 billion Lebanese pounds. These cover 2,458 medical treatment cases for insured patients. Since the beginning of the year, the total advances paid by the fund have reached around 47 million U.S. dollars (approximately 4.238 billion Lebanese pounds), aimed at strengthening healthcare coverage and achieving financial balance in the healthcare sector. Karky urges hospitals to process their transactions quickly to ensure the continuity of health coverage in accordance with approved rates and to avoid punitive measures.
