Megiddo Discoveries Unveiled

New archaeological discoveries have been announced at the Sakhmet Temple in the Mit Rahina area of Giza Governorate, by the joint Egyptian-Chinese archaeological team. The findings include excavations around the temple, remains of a mud-brick residential complex, limestone blocks, parts of statues, as well as a structure likely to be a wine press, with grape seeds supporting this interpretation. These discoveries aim to enhance our understanding of the religious and civilian populations' lives in the ancient city of Memphis. The results show that the area continued to be inhabited and developed over various periods, especially during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II. They contribute to painting a clearer picture of the city's history and its evolution through the ages.
