The Lebanese Civil Defense General Directorate announced the death of Rescuer Mahmud Abbas Abbas, from Bira Center – Akkar, who passed away today after a long career in voluntary work. Abbas was born on January 2, 1977. He joined the Civil Defense in 2002 and was recently promoted to the rank of Private in August 2023. He participated in many dangerous missions and training courses in firefighting, ambulance services, and rescue operations. The Directorate extends its deepest condolences to his family, praying to God to encompass him with His vast mercy.
