Public Security busts sex trafficking network

The Lebanese Internal Security Forces have announced a crackdown on a network involved in facilitating prostitution. They were able to identify and arrest several individuals, including two Lebanese nationals, one of whom is wanted by judicial warrants. The detained individuals admitted to transporting the girls to hotels in exchange for amounts ranging from $500 to $1,500, as well as engaging in drug use. One of them also confessed to firing a gun. Investigations revealed that the network was holding the girls in various areas of Mount Lebanon, demanding "khawat" (tribal fees) from the operators, and using coercive methods to force the girls to stay. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the other individuals involved.
