State Security Busts Illegal Generators in North

The State Security authorities in Lebanon were able to apprehend a single individual and seize more than twenty illegal generators across the northern part of the country during operations carried out in the cities of Tripoli and El Mina, in coordination with the Ministry of Economy and upon instructions from the Public Prosecutor's Office. They discovered eight generators belonging to the Tripoli Municipality and two belonging to the El Mina Municipality. Additionally, numerous official reports were issued regarding violations related to non-compliance with the official pricing, failure to install meters, and invoicing in foreign currency. The authorities also raided the office of one generator owner and detained an official responsible for issuing invoices, following the refusal of one generator owner to deliver his device to the municipality. Legal notices were issued against those violating the laws.
