The Director General of the National Social Security Fund in Lebanon, Dr. Muhammad Karky, announced the gradual reopening of the Social Security offices in Tyre and Tebbeneh, in addition to resuming work at the Airport Road office, which serves over 40,000 insured individuals. This comes as part of efforts to restore services after they were halted due to the Israeli aggression and the war. Preparations are also underway to open an Office in Nabatieh, aimed at strengthening the Fund’s presence in areas affected by conflict, especially in the south. Officials, including the Head of the Transport Workers Union, Bassam Talils, praised the efforts of the Fund’s management in continuing to provide health and social services to insured individuals and displaced persons despite the challenging security and economic conditions. They emphasized that these steps are intended to improve and facilitate access to services in the affected Lebanese regions.
