Rural Damascus Farm Seized as Drug Warehouse

The Drug Control Directorate in Syria successfully disrupted a network consisting of five individuals involved in the drug trafficking and distribution trade. They confiscated 179 kilograms of narcotic substances inside a farm in the town of Aqerba, in the countryside of Damascus. Investigations indicated that the farm was used as a main warehouse for storing hashish and dividing it before distribution. Following careful monitoring of a new shipment, security forces carried out a raid that resulted in the arrest of all members of the network and the seizure of the narcotics. The seized amount includes 175 kilograms of hashish and 4 kilograms of marijuana. The detainees have been referred to the judiciary for further investigation.
