Contracted Teachers Call for Wage Increase

A coordinator of the Contracted Teachers' Movement in Lebanon, Hamza Mansour, has called on the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Rima Karamé, to quickly implement the law increasing the hourly pay for contracted teachers before the start of the new school year. He emphasized that the ministry must issue a decision proposal for the raise urgently, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, and specify the percentage of the increase to be retroactively applied from March 1st.
