Patriarch Elias Hawick returned to his hometown of Halta in Batroun amid massive popular celebrations. His beatified remains arrived from a procession that started at the Monastery of Saint Elias in Deir el-Ammar and passed through towns in the Bsharri district. The relics were received with ululations, ringing of bells, and streets decorated with flowers, in the presence of bishops, clergy, and a crowd of residents from the town and neighboring areas. The procession reached the triumphal arches adorned with pictures of Hawick and flags of Lebanon and the Vatican. The relics were then handed over to the home, where Lebanon today honors the beatified Elias Hawick, one of its founding sons. This act serves as a tribute to the memory and legacy of Hawick, acknowledging his role in strengthening spiritual and national values.
