Energy Workshop on Water Loss Guide

The Lebanese Ministry of Energy and Water, in partnership with the WAMA+ GIZ project, held a working group meeting to discuss the National Guide for Water Loss Management in Lebanon. The ministry reviewed the draft of the guide, which was developed with the support of GIZ and under the guidance of the German government, aiming to establish a framework and plan to enhance water management and reduce water loss, which exceeds internationally acceptable levels. This excessive loss results in significant depletion of water resources and impacts the sustainability of water services and the public finances of water utilities.
