Issuance of new smaller cash notes
The Parliamentary Finance Committee disclosed plans to issue smaller denominations of less than 250 dinars, due to the long-standing lack of currency updates and the spread of counterfeiting. Member of the committee, Jamal Kojar, also pointed out that during the committee’s meeting with the Central Bank governor, they discussed proposals related to currency modernization and enhancing measures to combat counterfeiting.
