Intelligence agencies break up blackmail network
The National Intelligence Agency of Iraq announced the apprehension of a foreign criminal network consisting of ten individuals, involved in recruiting foreigners to Iraq, kidnapping, torturing them, and demanding ransom from their families in exchange for their release. The operation was carried out based on intelligence information, field monitoring, and in coordination with the Human Trafficking Prevention Department at the Ministry of Interior.
