Trump links far right to France unrest
Donald Trump and JD Vance linked France’s recent nationwide protests to immigration, blaming immigration for unrest stemming from economic issues such as rising fuel prices and declining purchasing power. The protests, initially over school conditions and cost of living, escalated into clashes and arrests, leading political figures to attribute the violence to imported populations and liberal policies. Trump warned that Paris risks becoming a Muslim city if borders remain open, while other U.S. politicians used the unrest to criticize immigration and liberal governance ahead of upcoming elections.
