BT billed me for over a year despite landline outage
A Customer has been paying BT for a landline for over a year despite the line being non-functional since a repair was delayed after an engineer’s visit. BT claims it was unaware of the issue until a complaint in December, but the customer reports previous attempts to notify the company. BT eventually reactivated the line but has offered limited compensation, while the customer is entitled to over £4,600 in compensation under Ofcom rules but has accepted a lower payout due to delayed reporting.
