Cameron Green misses first Test

Nic Maddinson is expected to replace the injured Cameron Green for Australia in the first Test against South Africa in Durban. Green’s injury, an abdominal strain, ruled him out of the match, with Maddinson favored due to his recent performances and batting versatility. The decision comes amid considerations of pitch conditions and Australia's squad options for spin and pace, with Maddinson's inclusion marking a significant return to Test cricket after previous success in Shield cricket.
