Israel Detains US Candidate in West Bank
Israeli forces detained Bradlander, the Democratic candidate for Congress representing New York, while he was participating in the olive harvest season in the West Bank with Palestinian farmers facing increasing threats from radical Jewish settlers. Landers stated that he is being held with a group of rabbis and other volunteers aboard a bus, and they intend to go to a police station. This comes in the context of his criticism of Israeli actions against Palestinians, including during the Gaza war, which he described as "genocide."
