Dubai Police Raid Fake License Ring

Dubai Police successfully arrested a gang of eight individuals involved in the illegal issuance of counterfeit driving licenses from a neighboring country. The gang was selling these licenses with the aim of replacing them with Emirati licenses for 10,000 dirhams each. The group exploited agreements that allow for the exchange of licenses that meet certain criteria without the need for training or exams. They used company offices to promote this illegal activity. Authorities warned of the dangers of such practices, which threaten drivers’ safety and hinder efforts to enhance traffic security and safety. They emphasized that replacing a license does not rectify previous violations and that paying money to obtain an illegal license exposes the offender to legal accountability.
