Jazan's POS Consumer Spending Reaches 9.2B Riyals

Jazan Chamber Report revealed that the total consumer spending through point-of-sale outlets in the Jazan region amounted to approximately 9.2 billion riyals during the first half of 2026, marking an annual increase of 1.58% compared to the same period of the previous year. Food and beverage activities accounted for the highest share of spending at 19.78%, followed by restaurants and cafes at 14.56%. Notably, some sectors experienced significant growth, such as clothing and shoes, which increased by 41.70%, and jewelry, which rose by 38.35%. Conversely, some activities saw a decline, most notably diversified goods and services, which decreased by 41.37%. The number of POS transactions also rose by 6.1%, reaching 195.9 million transactions, with a strong focus on gas stations, which accounted for 37.1% of all transactions.
