German company "EnBW" has launched the largest offshore wind farm in Germany, known as "Hidraith," located in the North Sea 110 kilometers from the island of Heligoland. The farm consists of 64 turbines designed by the Danish company Vestas, with a total capacity of approximately 960 megawatts, backed by an investment of 2.4 billion euros. The company expects to reach full capacity in October, with more than two-thirds of the turbines supplying energy to the public grid, thereby enhancing Germany’s efforts to reduce reliance on fossil fuel sources and supporting its economic position in renewable energy. This development marks a major leap forward in offshore wind energy development as part of the transition toward clean and sustainable energy.
