Beijing restricts drone ownership
Beijing has completely banned the ownership and use of drones within the city for security reasons, following a small aircraft collision with a skyscraper in June that resulted in the death of the pilot and injuries to 13 people. The new restrictions, which came into effect in mid-November, include a ban on unauthorized drone flights and the designation of the area as a prohibited airspace, after a sales ban on drones was imposed last March.
