Al-Bedoui: Gulf Tourist Spending to Hit $131B by 2025

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasim Muhammad Al-Bdaiwi, indicated that tourism spending in the Gulf countries exceeded $131 billion in 2025, with the number of tourists reaching more than 75 million, marking a growth of 4.8% compared to 2024. Additionally, over 20 million tourists traveled between the member states, an increase of 3.6%. The figures also showed that tourism contributed 11.4% to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), while efforts were made to strengthen infrastructure, organization, and Gulf coordination to protect achievements and develop a connected and globally competitive Gulf tourism system, in line with the Tourism Strategy 2023-2030.
