Jeddah Port’s fourth station to open by 2030

Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) and the French CMA CGM Company plan to begin constructing and developing the fourth terminal at Jeddah Islamic Port during 2027, aiming to operate it commercially by 2030. The new phase will include a specialized facility for container handling with a capacity of up to 2.6 million containers annually, along with the development of deep berths to accommodate giant vessels. The project will also be equipped with ten modern cranes to improve operational efficiency and reduce handling times. This initiative responds to the expected growth in container trade and enhances Jeddah Port's ability to accommodate more cargo, establishing it as a key hub for global shipping lines. An initial investment of $434 million is allocated, with the goal of increasing the port’s capacity to handle a larger future volume of trade.
