TASI Index rises with banking and materials

The Saudi Stock Exchange (TASI) continued its upward momentum during today's session, supported by a rebound in the banking and materials sectors. The general index rose by 0.89%, reaching 11,177.21 points, with gains of 98.53 points, amid transactions totaling 4.21 billion riyals across 212 million shares. Among the sectors, the Media and Entertainment sector led the gains with a 5.68% increase, followed by the Basic Materials sector at 1.31%, and Banking at 1.28%. A variety of stocks saw notable rises, most prominently the Fakhriyah share with a 10% gain and Saudi Re-Insurance with a 9.96% increase. On the other hand, shares of Riyada and Gas Holding declined. Despite the downturn, some stocks remained active. Al Rajhi Bank topped liquidity with a value of 620.4 million riyals, rising by 1.89%.
