Uber Technologies has launched fully autonomous Apollo Go vehicles in Dubai, in collaboration with Baidu, offering rides to passengers via the Uber platform in selected areas such as Umm Suqeim and Jumeirah, with plans for future expansion. The service features sixth-generation electric robotaxi vehicles capable of accommodating up to three passengers. These vehicles are equipped with more than 30 sensors to ensure safety and precise navigation. This move is considered the first practical application of autonomous driving technologies in Dubai, and it represents a part of Uber's strategy to expand autonomous transportation technologies. The initiative adheres to strict safety standards and aims to promote electric and shared mobility globally.
