Sid Industrial City Signs Six Investment Deals

In the first half of 2026, the Sidra Industrial City in Amman signed six investment contracts valued at over 56 million Omani rials, amidst efforts to expand the investment base and diversify economic activities to include sectors such as tourism, energy, gas, telecommunications, and food industries. The city’s total cumulative investments reached 2.3 billion rials as of June 2026, and it employs 1,843 workers, of whom 1,076 are Omani nationals. Its future projects include maintenance of Wadi Alwadi crossing, development of infrastructure facilities for shipbuilding, irrigation water supply, and the trial operation of a solar power plant. Additionally, there are plans to present new investment opportunities in training, medical services, and industrial services.
