Petrochemical Losses Drop to 2.07B Riyals in Q2

The results of the second quarter of 2026 show a 42.17% decrease in losses among the petrochemical companies listed in the Saudi market. The total combined losses declined to 2.07 billion SAR compared to 3.58 billion SAR in the same period of the previous year. Sabic led the reduction in losses by 79.53%, reaching 833 million SAR after being 4.07 billion SAR, due to a decrease in losses from non-recurring operations and an improvement in the results of joint ventures. On the other hand, Sabic Agricultural Nutrients topped the list of profitable companies with a profit of 379 million SAR, despite a 64.25% decline compared to the same period last year. For the first half of the year, petrochemical companies' losses decreased to approximately 1.7 billion SAR from 5.28 billion SAR during the same period in 2025, with Kayan Saudi Arabia and Manufacturing Company remaining at the top of the loss list.
