Dubai inaugurates new 700m bridge at Al Qudra
The Roads and Transport Authority of Dubai has inaugurated a southern bridge measuring 700 meters in length as part of the development project at the intersection of Al Qudra Street and Sheikh Zayed bin Hmadan Al Nahyan Street. The bridge features four lanes with a capacity of up to 6,000 vehicles per hour, aiming to improve traffic flow and connect the area more efficiently. This follows the opening of an opposite bridge in last February. It is expected that these development projects will increase the street’s capacity from 7,800 to 19,400 vehicles per hour and reduce waiting times by 85%, from approximately seven minutes to just one minute. Additionally, plans are underway to open new side ramps on the bridge in the last quarter of 2026 to enhance movement in various directions and support urban and economic growth in the region.
