Field campaigns in the Kingdom have reported the arrest of 14,154 violators of residency, work, and border security regulations during the period from 9 to 15 / 2 / 1448 AH (23 to 29 / 7 / 2026 CE). Among those apprehended, 7,103 violated residency laws, 3,654 violated border security regulations, and 3,397 violated labor laws. Additionally, 1,418 individuals attempted to cross the border illegally, of whom 54% are Yemenis and 45% Ethiopians. Moreover, 23 individuals tried to cross the border outside of legal channels, and 17 were involved in transporting, employing, or shielding violators. Currently, 30,679 violators are under enforcement procedures, with 12,613 being deported and 17,903 referred to diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents, while 5,424 have had their travel bookings secured. The Ministry of Interior emphasized that facilitating the entry or assisting violators exposes the individual involved to penalties of up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to one million riyals, along with seizure of transportation and housing. It also warned against complacency in dealing with these crimes, which are considered major offenses warranting detention.
