Japan Center links 22 Emirati students with Japanese industry

The Japan Cooperation Center Abu Dhabi's office launched the 2026 Practical Training Program, featuring 22 Emirati students from local universities participating in internship opportunities with various Japanese companies and institutions. The program aims to enhance human capabilities and promote cultural exchange, and it is part of the strategic partnership initiative between Japan and the UAE, which has since 2012 trained over 145 Emirati students. This year, for the first time, graduate students from Mohammed Bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence are participating, as the program provides the participants with hands-on experience in fields such as artificial intelligence, engineering, media production, agriculture, and manufacturing — demonstrating mutual benefits for both the students and the Japanese companies.
