Iraq to Build Syria Oil Pipeline

A memorandum of understanding was approved between the Iraqi and Syrian Ministries of Oil and Energy regarding the project, which aims to improve the oil infrastructure and facilitate access to global markets. The council also approved measures to boost oil production and develop related projects, including the Al-Akaz field projects, transportation lines, and engineering capabilities, with the goal of increasing export and production rates and improving the economic situation of Iraq’s oil sector.
