Egypt achieved its highest level of oil production in two years, with refinery operating rates increasing to approximately 80% during the current year. This has led to petroleum product exports rising to around $2.3 billion in the first half of 2026, with expectations of an increase to about $2.5 billion in the second half. As a result, total exports are projected to reach approximately $4.8 billion by the end of the year. The Ministry attributed this growth to the increased output from the gasoline complex at Cairo Oil Refining Company, the operation of Anrbc above its designed capacity, as well as improvements in gasoline and fuel production from other companies such as Arab Petroleum and Medor refinery maintenance, along with the development of the Alexandria Oil Complex.
