Riyadh launches 5bn riyal Tier 1 sukuk

Al Riyad Bank has announced the launch of an issuance of Additional Tier 1 Capital Sukuk with an initial value of up to 5 billion riyals, denominated in riyals. The subscription period will run from July 21 to August 3, 2026. These sukuk will be perpetual, with no fixed maturity date, and can be redeemed by the bank after five years, offering a fixed return of 6.5% paid quarterly. The sukuk target investors include both individual and institutional investors inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They are considered unsecured obligations and rank junior to other debts in the event of liquidation.
