Kaian’s Q2 losses hit 672.7M riyals

Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company recorded a net loss of 672.76 million riyals during the second quarter of 2026, representing an increase of 35.54% compared to the same period last year. The company attributed the higher losses to increased average production input costs and lower sales volumes, despite rising selling prices. Revenues also declined by 9.97% to two billion riyals, due to supply chain challenges, even though product prices were higher. In the first half of the year, the company incurred a loss of 1.28 billion riyals, a 1.2% increase compared to the same period last year. The accumulated losses amount to approximately 7.18 billion riyals, which constitutes 48% of the company's capital.
