Saudi Arabia funds 7 logistics centers at Jeddah Port

The Saudi Ports Authority ("Mawani") has signed contracts to establish and expand seven logistics centers at Jeddah Islamic Port and Al Khumra Area, with investments nearing one billion riyals. The aim is to enhance Saudi Arabia’s position as a global logistics hub. The new centers will cover an area of over 384,000 square meters, create more than 5,000 job opportunities, and contribute to increasing port capacity and improving logistics service efficiency. These developments are part of the Vision 2030 objectives to support the private sector, promote regional and international trade, and develop the logistics sector. Additionally, the expansion includes a new yard for Maersk’s global center, spanning 60,000 square meters with an investment of 40 million riyals, to boost service efficiency for importers and exporters.
