Airbnb Limits Checkout Tasks for Hosts

Airbnb has announced new policies effective from November 2026 that restrict hosts from requiring guests to perform time-consuming cleaning tasks, such as stripping beds, washing dishes, or starting laundry before checkout. The changes aim to improve guest experience by clarifying reasonable requests and prevent surprises after booking, with hosts required to disclose all house rules upfront. Violations may lead to warnings, reduced listing visibility, or other sanctions.
