F1 to resume standard race length in 2028
Formula 1 will revert to its standard race distance in 2028 after a temporary reduction for the 2027 season. The maximum race length was shortened from 305km to 290km due to changes in engine rules that affect fuel consumption and car performance. The FIA announced the full distance will be reinstated for 2028, amid concerns from drivers about race length and physical demands.
