Judge dismisses Busfield child abuse charges

Actor and director Timothy Busfield faced child sexual abuse charges in New Mexico, but the indictment was dismissed by a judge due to procedural issues with the grand jury proceedings. The judge found that prosecutors failed to act impartially and improperly withheld witnesses, prompting the dismissal, though the state may file new charges. Busfield, who has denied the allegations, was released on recognizance and plans to contest the case in court.
