Cork man gets 10 years for manslaughter

A man was sentenced to 12 years in jail, with two years suspended, for the manslaughter of his brother's girlfriend during an incident in Mallow, Ireland. He stabbed her once in the chest during an argument and left her to die without calling emergency services. The victim was a 31-year-old mother, and the court cited the defendant’s callous behavior and history of violence in reducing his sentence from 14 to 12 years.
