Undocumented individual detained with fentanyl possibly enough for double the state's population
A traffic stop in Nevada led to the seizure of over 700 pounds of illicit drugs, including nearly 30 pounds of fentanyl and 677 pounds of methamphetamine, contained in 13 storage totes. The driver, an illegal immigrant, faces federal charges of drug trafficking, with the authorities emphasizing the threat these quantities pose, as the fentanyl could potentially kill nearly twice the population of some major cities. The investigation involved Homeland Security Investigations and local law enforcement, highlighting efforts to combat large-scale drug trafficking and prevent deadly substances from reaching communities.
