Saudi Arabia reverses man’s death ruling over Facebook post
Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court has overturned the death sentence of Sri Lankan migrant worker Anojan Sivarasa over a Facebook comment. Originally convicted of blasphemy against Islam, Sivarasa was sentenced in September to death, but the sentence was set aside after diplomatic efforts. The case drew international attention, highlighting concerns over laws used against speech-related offenses, especially for migrant workers.
