Lena Dunham Announces Girls Reboot on HBO

HBO announced the return of the "Girls" series with five new episodes, set to begin production in 2027. The original cast, including Lena Dunham, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, and Andrew Rannells, will reprise their roles. Dunham stated they only returned with a specific story in mind and noted the characters started talking to her again around her fortieth birthday. The reboot follows the original series, which aired from 2012 to 2017, and no premiere date has been announced.
