The Social Reckoning critique
"The Social Reckoning" is a sequel to "The Social Network" that focuses on Facebook's role in spreading hate, conspiracy theories, and misinformation, with a particular emphasis on the Capitol riot and the banning of Donald Trump. Directed and written by Aaron Sorkin, the film portrays Facebook as solely responsible for adverse societal effects, excluding discussions of left-wing radicalization or government lockdown impacts. The film depicts Zuckerberg as a sociopathic free speech advocate who ultimately caves under pressure, but critics find it lacks nuance and emotional depth, serving primarily as a partisan critique.
