Judge to decide on CNN’s press ban extension

A federal judge is scheduled to hear arguments regarding efforts by CNN, MS NOW, and Politico to regain White House access after President Trump attempted to block them citing negative reporting. The news outlets argue that the White House has provided no new evidence supporting claims that their reporting endangers national security, and they contend that the ban violates First Amendment rights. The case involves questions about the administration's authority to restrict press access to certain areas and whether the restrictions were retaliatory or constitutionally justified.
