Anne Carson awarded 2026 Nobel in Literature

Canadian poet and writer Anne Carson has won the 2026 Nobel Prize in Literature for her innovative and genre-defying work that blends verse, prose, and translation, often drawing on classical Greek literature. The award, given by the Swedish Academy, recognizes her contributions to contemporary literature through works like "Autobiography of Red" and "Norma Jeane Baker of Troy." Carson joins the ranks of distinguished recipients, with some criticism directed at the Academy’s selection process.
