FBI detains teen over Mall of America plot
An 18-year-old man from Minnesota was arrested after attempting to plot a mass shooting at the Mall of America in support of ISIS. Authorities allege he planned to kill 30 to 60 people using weapons obtained through an undercover agent, with intentions to carry out the attack in late October. The suspect had expressed a desire to emulate previous ISIS-inspired attacks and targeted the mall for its large attendance.
