Small image causes controversy in Nikon contest
The winning image in Nikon's Small World In Motion contest, created by Dr. Ning Xu, has come under scrutiny after scientists questioned whether AI was used to manipulate the video of cilia inside a child's airways. While Xu denied using AI to generate the structures or their movement, he acknowledged using AI to enhance visualization, prompting ongoing investigation. Nikon is currently reviewing the case but has stated that no rules were deemed violated at this time.
