T rex footprints found after 66 million years

Scientists in North Dakota have discovered the first known trackway likely left by an adult T. rex, composed of at least four massive three-toed footprints over 23 feet long. The footprints, each around three feet in length, suggest the dinosaur was walking at a speed of 3.5 to 4.5 miles per hour. The discovery, made in the Hell Creek Formation, provides new insights into the behavior of this apex predator and is the first documented sequence of tracks attributed to an adult T. rex.
